READER 1 Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat;

ALL And how much more valuable you are than birds!
READER 1 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
READER 2 If you worry and worry
READER 3 If you worry hard enough
READER 1 You can't add a minute to your lifespan
READER 2 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

READER 1 "Consider how the lilies grow.
READER 2 The lupine and poppies
READER 3 The carpets of wildflowers that cover the fields.
READER 1 They do not labor or spin.
READER 2 They don't labor
READER 3 They don't spin thread for clothing
READER 1 Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
READER 2 Not even Solomon?
READER 3 In all HIS splendor?
READER 2 No, not even Solomon.
READER 1 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field,
READER 2 which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire,
READER 3 how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!
READER 1 You little-faith believers
READER 2 You worriers.
READER 3 You doubters.
READER 1 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink;
READER 2 do not worry about it.
READER 1 For the pagan world runs after all such things,
READER 2 and your Father knows that you need them.
READER 1 But seek his kingdom,
READER 2 Seek his kingdom
READER 3 Seek his kingdom
READER 2 and these things will be given to you as well.
READER 1 "Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
READER 2 Don't be afraid
READER 3 Little flock
READER 2 Special lambs in Jesus' flock
READER 1 Your Father his delighted to bestow on you his kingdom
READER 2 His kingdom
READER 1 And all the privileges and prerogatives appertaining thereunto.
READER 2 The King's own protection
READER 3 The King's own care
READER 1 The King's own provision
READER 2 The King's own treasure
READER 3 The King's own love.
READER 1 Sell your possessions and give to the poor.
READER 2 The kingdom is yours -- why be so stingy!
READER 3 Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out,
READER 2 a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted,
READER 3 where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.
READER 1 For where your treasure is,
READER 2 there your heart will be also.
READER 1 For where your treasure is,
READER 2 there your heart will be also.
READER 1 If your heart is caught up in his Kingdom,
READER 2 there your treasure is to be found.
