How Does an "E-book" Differ from a Printed Book?

An "e-book" or "electronic book" is delivered or downloaded in electronic form and is not taxable. It is less expensive because our costs are lower. Many people read the e-book on their computer screen without printing it out. When you purchase the e-book, you'll receive a URL that you'll click on, initiating a download of the file onto your computer. Depending upon the speed of your connection and the size of the e-book, this can take a few seconds to many minutes to complete.

Get Adobe Reader The file is in PDF format, so to read it you can use the free Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader, which is probably already installed on your computer, tablet, or phone. Once you've saved the e-book file, double click on the filename to open it. If it opens, that means you already have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, tablet, or phone. If it doesn't open, you probably need to download a free copy of Acrobat Reader at http://adobe.com/products/acrobat/readermain.html They'll give you instructions on how to install Acrobat Reader on your computer.

Other e-book readers that will read PDF files include the Kindle, iPad, and Aluratek Libre. I don't have personal experience with these, however, to know how to transfer the e-book from your computer to your e-book reader device.

Printed books are produced when your order is received. Some of our books are sold directly by JesusWalk Publications, others must be ordered from Amazon or other booksellers.
